Devin is a country boy, born and raised in Pittsboro, North Carolina, where his roots run deep. He grew up in a multigenerational home filled with love and resilience; raised by his incredible mom, Carolyn, who did the job of many with so much grace. Devin’s journey has been one of hard work and quiet strength. He built a career from the ground up, working at hospitals like UNC and WakeMed before stepping into entrepreneurship and running his own moving business. He’s truly the guy you can call for anything, and he’ll show up, no questions asked.
He’s passionate about his faith, his family, and finding joy in everyday life. Devin is one of those rare people who laughs hard, loves even harder, and always finds a positive in every situation. Whether we’re riding scooters, cracking jokes, or sneaking away on an impromptu road trip, life with Devin is full of laughter, love, adventure and a whole lot of heart. He’s my safe space, my gentle giant, and the most thoughtful man I’ve ever known.

Malikah is a New York City girl through and through—born in Manhattan, raised in Brooklyn and Queens, and walking proof that strength and softness can live in the same person. She’s loud (in the best way), passionate, funny, and somehow always knows how to take care of everyone around her without breaking a sweat. From the moment we connected, I knew she was something special. She’s the kind of woman who makes you want to be better just by being near her.
She has a heart for people, a deep faith in God, and a way of lighting up every room she walks into. She’s a mama first—her son CJ is her heart—and watching the way she loves him, loved her mom Diane, and now, loves me, has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. Malikah is also the queen of meaningful details—coaching a friend through a hard time, decorating our home, or cracking up at my jokes, she puts her whole self into the moment.
She’s my peace, my partner, my favorite person to laugh with, dream with, and build a life with. She’s fire and grace wrapped into one small package, and I thank God every day that she swiped right and gave me a chance.
